Filler Date
Smokin' performances from the longest-lasting band of this caliber-- and while maintaining its edge.
I have, however, a question about the date for the filler tracks from NOLA. This file says 4-30-5, but fishbonelive.org says that Fishbone was in Myrtle Beach that day and at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on 4-23-5. Can anyone help clear this up?

Great show for the bone!
Nice work. I was the FOH engineer on this tour for Fishbone. That was a great night for them for sure! Cheers for posting!

Fun ska sounds
I had heard the name 'fishbone' for many years but never heard the music. Glad to see they finally are up here on the archive. Just this one show is here, but it is great quality. all the instruments show up great (it is a soundboard) and the funk / ska / rock vibe is there. very similar to the rocksteady / early ska of the 80's when they started. I do see the parallels to early 90's Red Hot Chilie Peppers, and such. The Wiki page for Fishbone gives a pretty right-on and detailed account of what the band sounds like and what they are all about, so if you haven't heard of them yet, give that a read, and then this show a listen. You'll immediately recognize the song "Party at ground zero" .. it was used in most teen-party movies for the scene at the end when the party gets out of hand, or the parents are about to come home and they are trying to pack everything back up, or just the general party scenes .. A fun band, I hope more of their stuff shows up here on the archive! Support taping friendly bands by buying their merch, going to their live shows, and taping them!

Fishbone really know how to put on a high energy show. I think that is captured with this great performance and recording. I would recommend this show. Thanks.
